So big Ian and I got a game in last night at Hobbyland East, and somehow we managed to cram two 1850 lists onto a 4X4 table. Check back in the next few days to see the same battle from the Dark Angels point of view! My necrons had heard whispers of an ork invasion, but were surprised to find Dark Angels waiting for them instead! (Must have been the green armor that confuzzled them.) This is the Necrons story, told as only a robot can... 07/10/10
First up I was facing a Sanguinary Guard heavy Blood Angels army. We were playing Mission 1: Five to the Face! My opponent won the roll for first turn and took it, while I failed to sieze the initiative. His assault elements moved up and started flanking me, while his shooting failed to even scratch the paint on my vehicles. 06/11/10
Games 2 & 3 were a little shorter, because the poor camera was running out of juice, but also because they were shorter on the game table. GAME 2 was the shooty Tau, very nicely painted if I might add. Most of the battlesuits were converted in some way, and the camo scheme was ace! I decided to start everything in reserve, and since I was going second the Tau had two turns to do nothing. I figured this would give them less time to phase me out with all of their S10 weapons and such. 06/09/10
Game 1 of the Hobby Tournament saw my Necrons staring down the Blood Angels. Newest Codex Vs. one of the Oldest... Who will win?! 09/10/09
BATTLE REPORT! So my second game of the tournament came round, and my guard were much more excited about this board with it's lack of LOS blocking terrain. However, as they soon found out, their Black Templar adversaries had made a pact with the foul Chaos god Khorne to turn the skies black, forcing the battle to be fought with night fight! 08/31/09
Well this battle report is a week late, but I guess late is better than never! It's mostly because I've been dog sitting and... well, I don't have a good excuse, I guess I'm just a lazy bum. Anyhoo, on to the game! I began by trying to prevent droppods from droppodding into the middle of my army. A brilliant strategy if used correctly. As you will see later on, I am not so brilliant. 08/02/09
The armies align for battle, the Ring Wraiths line up across from the ring bearer, intent on delivering it to Sauron... 07/07/09
BATTLE REPORT! Me second game in the Origins RTT was against my good friend Allen Blount. Most of you longtime readers (haha) will already recognize him. Here is the man, the myth, the legend himself! Not the best picture, I admit, but hey, I'm not a professional. 07/01/09
So my first game in the Origins RTT was against the enigmatic Eldar, who discarded their normally sneaky ways an decided to bring in the heavy hitters instead. This being my first game ever with my Chaos Marines, I wasn't sure what to expect. Commanding the Eldar was Jason Garner. Really swell guy, lots of fun to play. 10/14/08
BATTLE REPORT!
So while we were at the Chicago Battle Bunker, Hyde played a pick-up game with Necron Steve. Necron Steve obviously plays Necrons, and the old metal ones at that! While we are not saying that Necron Steve is a robot, he could very well be a Necron Pariah in disguise. Luckily we managed to escape his evil clutches and make it back to Ohio, but that is another story. Click MORE to read the report!!! |
