We've decided to start our own podcast about 40k! Mostly because I'm lazy and hate to type, I'd much rather babble at a mic for an hour! Check out our podcast and let us know what you think! (LANGUAGE WARNING! KIDDIES BEWARE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!) or add all this mumbo jumbo to your pod catcher to subscribe http://40kbasement.com/main/blog1.php?tempskin=_rss2 Email Hyde@40kbasement.com thx and enjoy! 02/21/10
Ok, so I was working on this guy instead of the other two, because I like him better. I actually got the idea for the double-length chainsword from Austin, who has made a few for his sisters of battle army that he is taking to adepticon. So thanks for the great idea swipe Austin! Obviously he is very good at killing fools, what with the giant pile of skulls under his feet and all. I'm really glad that he is done, all of those purity seal were really upsetting me. The other two assault marines are still on the bench, and will get even more paint tomorrow. After those two, it's onto scouts! Thanks, MegaDave 02/11/10
So these are the two newest additions, based off the bodies of Vanguard veterans. So that's it for now, I'm actually off to go paint them now. If I get them done by tues, you may get to see them in their first battle report very soon! Thanks, MegaDave 02/07/10
Ok, so the new project is going well and is on schedule. Now I just have to figure out what I am going to do for the next 8 assault marines! I really like the citadel basing kit, the little resin pieces you get turned out really nicely I thought. I really like how this guy turned out, and I'm glad I took the extra time to convert him. So after working on the titan and all the other forgeworld goodies, I decided I needed to do something a little more special with my MegaMarines. Actually, doing anything with them at all would probably be good, as they have been languishing in the basement for almost two years. But no more! This is the year of 40k, and I'm aiming to get the army done. If I'm really good I'll try to get the entire company finished. We'll see though. I've decided to go back and make each marine unique, converting every single guy, unless they were already painted. All the assault marines will be floating, mainly because I think it looks cool. The first converted assault marine. He's still very much a work in progress, but I think he'll be getting some primer tomorrow and hopefully I'll have him done by this weekend. My overall goal will to be able to field this army in next years apocalypse game, so make sure you do your best to bug me about them and keep me painting! Have a great week! Thanks, MegaDave |
