Ok, so the new project is going well and is on schedule. Now I just have to figure out what I am going to do for the next 8 assault marines! I really like the citadel basing kit, the little resin pieces you get turned out really nicely I thought. I really like how this guy turned out, and I'm glad I took the extra time to convert him. So after working on the titan and all the other forgeworld goodies, I decided I needed to do something a little more special with my MegaMarines. Actually, doing anything with them at all would probably be good, as they have been languishing in the basement for almost two years. But no more! This is the year of 40k, and I'm aiming to get the army done. If I'm really good I'll try to get the entire company finished. We'll see though. I've decided to go back and make each marine unique, converting every single guy, unless they were already painted. All the assault marines will be floating, mainly because I think it looks cool. The first converted assault marine. He's still very much a work in progress, but I think he'll be getting some primer tomorrow and hopefully I'll have him done by this weekend. My overall goal will to be able to field this army in next years apocalypse game, so make sure you do your best to bug me about them and keep me painting! Have a great week! Thanks, MegaDave 01/25/10
So 40kBasement Brawl is officially over, and the EVIL team walked away with yet another victory!
The Planetary Governor was killed by a traitor in the Imperial Army, Chaos was able to an entrance into the Eldar Webway, and the Tyranids and Necrons were able to feast upon the slain. The Imperium was dealt a massive blow, and only time will tell if they can recover. Until then, all they can do is wait and see where the forces of Chaos will strike next... Well it was a great game and I had tons of fun, I hope you all did too! Keep checking back, I hope to have the battle report up in a couple of weeks. Also, a new poll is up, if you have a minute cast your vote! Until next time, Thanks, MegaDave 01/19/10
Well I got the last piece of terrain finished 4 days early, woo-hoo! The mountain of doom is one of the bigger objectives, obviously, not just in size but number of victory points. You can be sure this mountain will be seeing a lot of action! You can view the objectives by going HERE. Also, don't forget we are having a potluck, everyone please bring something to share! Please remember: 7,000 points maximum, 1 HQ & 2 Troops minimum, EVERYTHING MUST BE PAINTED, and no more than 50% superheavies. The event is being held at the Genoa Township Hall. The address is 5111 S. Old 3C Hwy, Westerville, OH. Thanks, MegaDave 01/18/10
Ok, so all of the Objectives are listed in the forums, go ahead and check them out so you know what they are and what they do on the day of the game.
